Radiation Effects Facility
The Radiation Effects Facility is located within the Luedecke Cyclotron Institute building on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Our physical address is 120 Spence St, College Station, TX. On campus, we are directly across Spence Street from the Zachary Engineering Education Complex and directly behind the Jack E. Brown Engineering Building.
College Station is served locally by Easterwood Airport (CLL). Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is an alternative (1.5 hour drive), as is Austin's Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) (2 hour drive).
Hotels are plentiful in the College Station area, with many located less than a mile from the Cyclotron Institute.
The College Station Visitors Bureau has a good list of accomodations.
Parking near the Cyclotron Institute building is limited. There are four 24-hour reserved spaces that have been designated for Cyclotron Institute visitors. These spaces do not require a hang-tag and you are free to use them if they are open. The Northside Parking Garage and the Polo Road Parking Garage are additional options.

Radiation Testing Facility customers must announce their expected time of first arrival to Dr. Henry Clark (clark@comp.tamu.edu) 48 hours in advance and then provide timely updates if their plans change. They must enter and leave the Facility through the rear door. Following their initial check-in they will be given a code to the lockbox for subsequent re-entry.
If you are having trouble getting into the building you can use the phone by the rear door to contact the Control Room or call 979-845-1415 for assistance.
If you will need to load and unload equipment that you bring to the Facility yourself, please let us know about it in advance and give us an estimate of your expected time of arrival or departure. Drive to the loading dock and use the phone on the wall or the buzzer to contact the Control Room. Alternatively, you may call 979-845-1415 for assistance.
