If you're trying to add a publication or presentation, note that you don't click "Add " to enter the entry; that field is for the id of a pre-existing entry. So you should go to the corresponding page (the links are given for both publications and presentations), enter it there, and then come back and either click "Refresh from database" or provide the id of the missing entry. As the popup says, the id may be found by hovering over the entry on the presentation page, or as it is listed on the publications page.
You must be logged in as a CI member to be able add a presentation.
