Procedures for visitors and new personnel to the Cyclotron Institute
Visitors
For scientific visitors to the Institute for as few as a few days up to about a year.
Step | 1: | Fill out the visitor information form. |
Step | 2: | Initial invititation: The Cyclotron Institute is not a user facility; you must be invited by a member of the Institute. Contact your host and arrange for the necessary paperwork to be initiated (including immigration documentation, if applicable). |
Step | 3: | Contact Paula Barton and your host to confirm preparations for your visit have been made. |
Step | 4: | Upon you arrival at the Cyclotron Institute, go to administration (CYCL 201) to have a picture taken, be issued a fob, assigned an office, etc. |
Step | 5: | If needing access to controlled areas, fulfill the safety requirements to be issued a dosimeter and fob access. |
New Personnel
For anyone at the Institute planning to stay for a year or more — e.g. new grad students, post-docs, accelerator technicians, etc.
Step | 1: | Fill out the new personnel form. |
Step | 2: | Make sure you have the appropriate immigration documentation (if applicable). |
Step | 3: | Contact Paula Barton and your C.I. advisor/mentor to confirm preparations for your arrival have been made. |
Step | 4: | Upon you arrival at the Cyclotron Institute, go to administration to get on payroll, have a picture taken (if not uploaded when you fill out the form above), be issued a fob, assigned an office, etc. |
Step | 5: | If needing access to controlled areas, fulfill the safety requirements to be issued a dosimeter and fob access. |
