Six of our students presented their research at the Fall Meeting of the Division of Nuclear Physics of the American Physical Society in New Orleans, LA (October 2022). Five presented posters as part of the Conference Experience for Undergraduates while Daniela Ramirez-Chavez presented a talk. TREND students supporting Daniela during her talk are pictured here:

Diana Carrasco-Rojas was invited to present her work at the Virtual Joint Nuclear and Astrophysics Seminar series hosted by the Texas A&M University Cyclotron Institute in Sept. 2022. Congrats Diana!

The hands-on student experience at the Cyclotron Institute during Summer 2022 has come to a close. We can’t wait to see all the great work our students will continue at their home institutions during the following Fall and Spring semesters!

TREND students presented physics demos at the First Friday Event in downtown Bryan, Tx (July 2022). First Friday is an outdoor event with local art, live music, performances and unique interactive events. Our students got the opportunity to share their knowledge and love of physics with the local community through a variety of physics demos – like conservation of angular momentum by spinning in a chair or suspending bubbles in the air using dry ice!

June 2022 – Our TRENDsetters have arrived in College Station to begin their Summer research experience. Ten weeks of intense hands-on research experience with an established research group at the Cyclotron Institute is beginning now. Welcome TRENDsetters!
