The Multi-Cusp Negative Ion Source was installed on the K150 cyclotron in 2010. H^- and D^- ions are produced in the plasma chamber with a hot tantalum filament. The source is capable of producing milliamperes of ions and is used for experiments needing high intensity proton and deuteron beams.
