To change the setup from Vacuum to In-air, do the following:

 1. Go to the PSP counting room and Inhibit the detector power supplies.
 2. Go to the Cave and make sure that the manual valve downstream from the vacuum chamber is closed.
 3. Make sure that the bypass line for that valve is closed.
 4. Loosen the screws holding the upstream detector flange flange.
 5. Start venting the vacuum chamber.
 6. Slowly open the bypass line.
 7. After awhile, open the manual valve downstream from the vacuum chamber.
 8. When the chamber is up to air, open it.
 9. Let the users remove their board.
10. Center the target frame.
11. Go to the PSP counting room and turn off the position-control box.
12. Flip the downstream shutter control switch from Vacuum to Atmosphere.
13. Go to the Cave to remove the slits and set them at the bottom of the vacuum chamber.
14. Disconnect cables with DB25, DB9, and power connectors from Vacuum system and connect them to In-air system.
15. Disconnect eight white BNC cables from the upstream detector flange.
16. Replace the upstream detector flange with a blank flange.
17. Disconnect ten black BNC cables from the other ends of the white BNC cables.
18. Connect eight of the black cables to the corresponding cables hanging from the downstream detector flange.
19. Connect the remaining two black cables to the side of the downstream detector chamber (for central detector HV and signal, respectively).
20. On the video selector located next to the monitor push the In-air button.
21. Make sure that the manual valve downstream from the vacuum chamber is closed.
22. Make sure that the bypass line for that valve is closed.
23. Close the chamber and start pumping.
24. Slowly open the bypass line.downstream from the vacuum chamber.
25. After awhile, open the manual valve downstream from the vacuum chamber.
26. Go to the PSP counting room and turn on the position-control box.
27. Go to the Cave and home all axes.
28. Make sure that the downstream shutter and the camera work.
29. Let the users install their board.
30. When the ion gauge for the vacuum chamber comes on, go to the PSP counting room and un-Inhibit the detector power supplies.
