QCD thermodynamics with almost physical quark masses

Abstract:

I will discuss recent lattice calculations of the transition temperature and Equation of State of QCD using improved staggered fermions on N_t=4 and N_t=6 lattices. Calculations have been done at physical values of the strange quark mass and several values of the light (u,d) quark masses down to values corresponding to the physical pion mass.
