Indiana Silicon Sphere
The Indiana Si Sphere was built in 1990 to study many-body dynamics and equation of state physics using light ion beams. It was completed in 1993. The array consists of a 500μm thick Si detector followed by a 25mm CsI(Tl) detector with a photodiode light guide attached to it. It was designed to have ioinization chambers, however those were never implemented into the current configuration.
