Our data room is located directly above the Radiation Effects Facility beam line. The room is independently cooled and well insulated from building noise.
Located on the floor of the data room are two four inch diameter cable passages to provide the shortest distance possible between your equipment and your test board. From a table top in the data room to the top of the in-air station platter is approximately 15 feet.
In addition to a 18 port bnc patch panel connecting the data room and beam line area, there are also a series of differing types of cables permanently installed. These included: five ribbon cables, two DB9 serial cables, three DB25 serial cables, and two GPIB cables. The data room also houses video monitors for beam-line and overhead views of your test setup. If needed, video connections and monitors are available for additional camera views. The room is also equipped with an internet network hub with up to 14 network connections available. Just outside of our data room is a designated staging area. Full internet access is available as well as a coffee maker and full size refrigerator for your convenience.
