Texas A&M University, Physics Department and Cyclotron Institute

 

The Physics Department and Cyclotron Institute at Texas A&M University invite applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in strong interaction/nuclear theory with an anticipated starting date in the fall of 2006.  The initial appointment will be a cooperative fellowship with the RIKEN BNL Research Center (RBRC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) for a period of up to 5 years. During this period the Assistant Professor/Fellow will spend about half time at Texas A&M and the remaining time at the RBRC in Brookhaven. The most important factor in the selection process is the candidate’s potential for excellence in research and teaching. Successful candidates will assume teaching responsibilities at the graduate and undergraduate level and are expected to conduct a vigorous research program.
