Measurement of the higher order
azimuthal
anisotropy (vn) for charged hadrons at RHIC-PHENIX, M.
Shimomura, Iowa State University, USA −Measuring the azimuthal anisotropy of particles produced in
relativistic
heavy ion collisions has been considered as a powerful probe for
investigating
the characteristics of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP), which is the
phase in QCD
matter of de-confined quarks and gluons. In RHIC-PHENIX experiment, we measured several orders of
the event
anisotropy (v2,v3,v4) at Au+Au in
200 GeV for
several centrality bins using the event plane method. The results of these
higher-order event anisotropy
constrain the initial geometrical eccentricity and viscosity that
are used in
hydrodynamical models. We
will present
the results of v2, v3, v4
measurement and
discuss the simultaneous description with the hydrodynamical
calculations.
