Opening for Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Nuclear Chemistry
The College of Science at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in nuclear chemistry, with an anticipated starting date of September 2008. Applications at the assistant professor level are especially sought, but appropriate advanced candidates will also be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a vigorous independent research program at the Cyclotron Institute and to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels within the Chemistry Department.
The Cyclotron Institute is based on a K500 superconducting cyclotron with associated experimental equipment. The facility is currently being upgraded to include accelerated radioactive beams.
